About Hard Wired Motorsports
Race-Bred. Wire-Perfect. Built in Australia.
Hard Wired Motorsports was founded in Australia in 2017 by Reid Hinton, an Associate Mechanical Engineer and motorsport electronics specialist, after years of seeing the same problem repeat itself on track.
Well-built engines, quality components, and meticulous fabrication were often let down by one weak link: the wiring. Automotive-grade looms, excessive harness weight, inconsistent terminations, and materials never intended for sustained heat, vibration, or chemical exposure regularly caused reliability issues in performance and motorsport builds.
In contrast, professional motorsport and aerospace programs had long relied on ETFE-insulated wiring (M22759/16) for its strength, temperature resistance, and electrical stability. Yet for most workshops, race teams, and private builders, this level of wiring was either unknown, difficult to source, or only available as prohibitively expensive bespoke systems.
Hard Wired Motorsports was created to change that.
By applying sound engineering principles and a repeatable manufacturing approach, we set out to make motorsport-grade ETFE wiring accessible beyond top-tier race programs. The result is a range of lightweight, high-temperature, chemically resistant wiring solutions designed to perform reliably in the harshest environments—without unnecessary complexity or cost.
Our focus is simple: reduce electrical failures, lower system mass, and give builders confidence in the one system that every component relies on. Whether it’s a race car, competition bike, or high-performance street build, Hard Wired Motorsports delivers wiring solutions engineered to perform when it matters most.
